Event Details

About twenty years ago, several dozen of the nation’s leading scientists, ethicists, and environmentalists drafted a declaration for the principles of approaching the regulation, policy, and commercialization of the emerging technologies of genetically engineered organisms, resulting in The Pacific Declaration.

To mark this milestone and reflect on the current context, and this history, the daughter of one of the Declaration’s founding signatories, Anna Lappé, will host a lively and thoughtful conversation with others at the forefront of the conversation about genetic engineering and the future of food.
