“Each seed is … a genetic call and response, a story yet to be written”, argues journalist and author Mark Schapiro. “Add three basic ingredients—soil, water, and sun—and the story unfolds.” But today we live in a time when all of these life-giving ingredients, and the seeds themselves, are being radically altered under the pressures of corporate consolidation of the food chain. These dramatic manipulations of the earth, compounded by climate change, are hurling humanity through an unprecedented story.

Join farmer Kristyn Leach and author Mark Schapiro in conversation with Tiffani Patton as they dig into Mark’s latest book and several short films on the power of seeds in the good food movement.
